What is live painting?

Live painting offers a fun and engaging experience for you and your guests! As the artist I will paint a special moment from the most important day of your life- like the first looks, first kiss or first dance. As I paint your attendees will be entertained as they watch the painting process unfold. By the end of the evening you will have a one of a kind painting; a truly special keepsake for you and your partner to cherish for years to come.

How does it work?

Prior to the date of your wedding we will discuss your vision for the painting. Many couples opt to have a reference photo taken during their First Look or the Ceremony. On the day of the wedding, I will arrive at our agreed upon time and take a reference photo to use for the painting. I will start the painting process during the cocktail hour in the reception area. As your guests file into the reception area they can watch me paint throughout the night. I typically finish painting 30 minutes before the end of the reception. At which point, I will call you over for the BIG reveal. The painting will be nearly complete by the end of the night. I will then take the painting to my home studio to finish and touch up any fine details.

What is the processing time?

After the day of the event, you will receive updates from me about your painting. I will send you a proof of the painting to be approved. Once the proof is approved, the painting will need time to dry and be varnished. The whole process takes 2-3 months from the day of the wedding.

What is included?

All paintings are done in acrylic paint on the day of the wedding and then touched up with oil paints in my home studio. Each painting is coated in a UV protective varnish to protect the pigments for years to come. Hanging hardware is attached to the back of the canvas so that it can be immediately hung in your home upon delivery.

How will I receive my painting once it is completed?

1. I offer hand delivery if your place of residence is within 20 miles of my home.
2. If you live within 40 miles, I will offer to meet up with you at a half point.
3. If you live farther than 40 miles and meeting up is not an option, I will ship the painting to you. The client is responsible for shipping costs.
